不必要,和浪费,是很多人当初对proton 成立的解读.很多人也认为proton成立纯粹是为了本土制造汽车.但在这个本土制造的后面,我想顿马哈迪要的是马来西亚人从日本人身上学习引擎开发技术.所以一开始,就选择和Mitsubishi合作.
如果从各先进国的特点来分析,好像日本,英国,美国,德国等国家.不难发现,他们都拥有自己引擎开发技术.这几个国家的汽车都是拥有和使用自己开发的引擎.德国的BMW,美国的FORD,日本的HONDA和Nissan,英国的LOTUS.虽然Lotus被proton收购了,但我们的国产车引擎还是改良至Lotus引擎.
我想当初proton愿意用那么一大笔钱来收购濒临危机的Lotus,除了Lotus品牌外,敦马哈迪看上的真是Lotus引擎开发技术。因为最近proton才懂得开始说要发展Lotus这品牌，还和1Malaysia F1 Racing争夺Lotus这名字。 很明显当初的收购的重点是在于Lotus引擎开发技术。
Proton董事经理日前告诉媒体，Proton还没决定是否自己开发Proton 新一代引擎还是和其他车商联合推出。Proton在政府的“资助”（Mitsubishi合作）和花了那么多钱（收购Lotus和Agusta），我们的Proton是否真的彻底掌握了引擎开发技术？如果，自称国产车，但汽车的心脏（引擎）不是国产研发的，这汽车还能称为国产车吗？而且没有自己研发的引擎，我国的国产车永远都会受制于他人。
Unnecessary, and wasteful, is interpretation of many people while Proton had been set up. Many people also believe that establishment of proton purely for "local made" propose .But by other way, in my opinion, Tun Dr. Mahathir is want our Malaysian learn from Japan, to learn the engine development technology. So for the beginning, Tun M select Mitsubishi as cooperation partner for Proton.
If analyze for the develop countries, like Japan, the United Kingdom,United States, Germany and other countries. not difficult to find, they all have their own engine development technology. A car These countries manufacturing their own cars with their owned and developed engine. Germany The BMW, U.S. with FORD, Japan with HONDA and Nissan,the United Kingdom with LOTUS. Although Lotus was acquired by Proton. But our campro engine is come from Lotus engine.
I think, Proton willing spend that a lot of money to invite in Lotus who verge of crisis, not just for Lotus branded. In addition, Tun Mahathir is really a fancy on Lotus engine development technology. Recently, Proton just began to develop Lotus brand. That can prove main propose is clearly focused on the acquisition of the Lotus engine development technology.
Recently, Proton managing director told the media, Proton not decide whether to develop their own new engine or jointly launched with other automotive maker .In the government's "subsidy"(Mitsubishi cooperation) and spent a lot of money (the acquisition of Lotus and the Agusta), Proton really mastermind the engine developed technology? If , claiming to be Malaysia product, but the car's heart (engine) is not develop and produce by Malaysian, this car also known as the Malaysia car?
